Welcome to Sorbonne Université

Dear students,

It will be a pleasure to welcome you among our students.
Our Director of Studies for international exchanges is Alice SINATRA.


    • We offer several programs of studies associating one main subject (Majeur) with the secondary subject (Mineur). Some examples are Physics -physics (mono-disciplinary), Physics-chemistry, Physics-mathématics, Physics-information sciences, Physics-electronics, Physics-biology, and Physics-human sciences. All the informations concerning the time schedules and the content of the courses are available on the web site : here  

Our physics offer, in Licence (undergraduate) is mainly centered on electromagnetism, wave physics and optics with a strong experimental component.

    •  All our undergraduate courses are delivered in French, the students are encouraged to follow the courses of French as a second language offered by our University, which could also be included in the Learning Agreement.

 

   • Required proof of language proficiency : B2 level  of TCF (Test de Connaissance en Français), TEF (Test d'Evaluation de Français) or CECR (Cadre Européen Commun de Référence pour les langues).

  

   • Academic requirements : Successful completion of the first year universitary studies.

I

   • Important dates : The teaching semester starts on September 1st . The students should arrive before that date to find an accommodation, and to accomplish the administrative and pedagogical inscriptions in the very beginning of September. Students applications should be sent between the beginning of April and the end of May in order to organize the classes. 

 

I   • You must organize the Learning Agreement, in constructing your study plan, you can select independently Major subject and minor subject, which can even be chosen in two different years of Licence. Concerning Physics, you can chose : 

 

      -  monodisciplinary Physics in L2 ou L3 

      - Physics Major L3 and Physics minor L2 

      - Physics Major L2 and Physics minor L3  

    If you are interested to follow and validate other subjects or other combination, for example Master courses, please contact the relevant person from the concerned field (in this case please pay attention to possible overlaps) :

   • Teaching semesters : The teaching semester ends in the end of June.

     The 1st semester is from September 1st to January 15th (including the exams).

     The 2nd semester is from February 1st to June 30th (including the exams).

   • PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW :

 

   1 - Please contact Mme Levisalles to prepare your administrative file (dossier de mobilité).

   2- Mme Levisalles transmits the file to the Director of Studies for international exchanges, who will contact you by mail, to validate the Learning Agreement.

   3 - By July 15th, the final list incoming students is transmited to our secretary service of Licence of Physics, in view of the pedagogical interview that will occur in the very beginning of September.
   4 - When you arrive in Paris, please go to Mme Levisalles's office who give you the pedagogical registration (inscription pédagogique des étudiants en Erasmus) ;

that should be signed by the Director of  Studies. Mme Levisalles will also help you to obtain the student card.

You are a foreign student and you arrive at SORBONNE UNIVERSITE except the framework of exchange, you have to carry out specific steps, following your country of origin :

  • NON -EU STATUS (cliquez ici)
